Anne admired Mary's wonderful night picture of the recent Blue Moon.

Mary had gone to a great deal of trouble to produce this swing in full flight above our heads.

Sonia was pleased with this picture taken in a Viennese cafe with a mirror ceiling. The diagonal angle, the repeated reflections and the striking colours made for an interesting composition.

Athol thought Sonia's picture of statues on a rooftop in Derbyshire was crisp and clean.
AP

Sonia chose this shot from Athol, liking the translucent petals and the drops of water. She thought it was like a painting.

Athol was pleased with this shot taken into the sun, producing an abstract picture.
GL

We liked Gillian's picture taken up steep steps "It's a long way up".

Gillian thought her most successful picture was the unusual view of the Scott Monument from below. Not the normal view expected.

Sue thought Ingrid's picture of a young person engrossed in his task was a nice composition and told a story of intense concentration.

This picture from Ingrid was certainly at an unusual angle and produced another abstract composition.
